Background: Hisoka was born into a very traditional and very strict muggle family in Kanagawa Japan. As a child, he was treated as more of a 'thing' than a 'person'. This distaste for Hisoka began when the would-be wizard began showing the typical signs of developing wizardy. The strange happenings, however, led to Hisoka being viewed as a monster and locked up in a cellar. Needless to say, he was strictly forbidden to attend Meifu, Japan's largest school of magic, when he received the letter of acceptance.
When Hisoka was thirteen, after sneaking out of the house for fresh air one night, he witnessed a murder on the family grounds. The murderer in question, a man - wizard - all in white, proceeded to rape and curse Hisoka before stealing his memories of the night all together. For the next three years, Hisoka was plagued by what was believed to be a terrible, mysterious illness. At age sixteen, his deteriorating health reached it's climax and he stopped growing all together, stuck with the appearance of a teenager for the rest of his life.
For the sake of appearances, Hisoka's death was staged by his family. In order to avoid a life locked away from the world, Hisoka ran away several days after his "funeral", after which he was found and taken in by one Asato Tsuzuki.
Tsuzuki, after learning of Hisoka's untrained wizarding potential, introduced him to an underground faction of the Ministry of Magic's Japanese branch - JuOhCho. Over the next few years Hisoka underwent an intense, excelerated program of study to reach an acceptable level of magic-mastery in order to become an official member of JuOhCho and become Tsuzuki's partner.
Part of Hisoka's training included basic Legilimency which he later decided to further pursue. The training to become a Legilimen, however, reacted strangely with Hisoka's curse, which led not only to his regaining his memories but also to traces of the magic being imprinted in his mind. Nowadays, it is not terribly uncommon for Hisoka to pick up stray traces of emotion even when he is not consciously attempting Legilimency.
Hisoka's latest mission - and largest to date - has been to infiltrate Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy as a 6th year transfer student.
Hisoka dislikes large crowds and is an extremely private person, preferring to find an isolated place to read rather than attend large functions. Nevertheless, he's anything but a pushover. He has a sharp wit, a sharp mouth and has no trouble speaking his mind.
Unfortunately, at the same time he is still plagued by several various effects of his curse, suffering from nightmares and bearing scars from that night.
